FURO seeks and creates cases and best practices that help to reduce the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural areas. The Fund's projects cover 86 secondary and 134 small schools, which have undergone the procedure of modernisation of their material base and professional development of teachers. In total, the Fund's activities cover more than 70,000 rural pupils and 5,000 teachers in Kazakhstan.
The fund's portfolio includes projects: "Rural school powered by NIS" (6 schools, 4000 pupils, the amount of sponsorship 1.5 billion tenge), "Capacity building of reference schools in rural areas" (80 schools, 58 thousand pupils, 6800 teachers, the amount of sponsorship 20 billion tenge), "Network of rural STEM laboratories" (83 laboratories in Kazakhstan), "FURO engineering (FabLAB) (pilot project, 1 laboratory at a rural school, the amount of sponsorship 7 million tenge). Also, in the partnership format, FURO is a sponsor and co-organiser of the Roboland festival and the EdCrunch conference.
