Rostislav got his PhD in Theoretical Computer Science from Moscow State University in 1998. After 10 years in academia he shifted to industry while continuing part-time teaching CS&IT at different universities.
For more than 20 years he has been building bridges between industry and academia by organizing conferences, joint educational programs and collaborative research projects with Microsoft, Intel, Thomson Reuters, Exactpro, Higher School of Economics, Skoltech, ACM, IEEE etc.
Areas of interest: applied data science, social network analysis and visualization, mathematical models of complex systems.
