Fighting "Not Invented Here" Syndrome: Cooperation in EdTech

“Not invented here” syndrome is behind a serious standstill in educational companies around the world. The idea that only your own invention is way better than the foreign one limits your potential and forces to do extra work. As a result, creation of new educational products becomes too pricey, takes way more time, and slows down innovation. This results in enormous waste of resources. What if everyone in the field shared the same infrastructure, then developing new platforms would be fast and more advanced. We just need to look at some latest successful platforms like Spotify, Airbnb or Uber and see what revolution API could start in the industry. Can we fight this mental block and stop reinventing the wheel by getting support from the giants thus lifting education to a breath-taking level - find this out at the session.
