Russell brings a wealth of experience and innovative thinking to the education industry as a globally-minded educator and leader. Born in Manchester and now based in Dubai, Russell has spent over two decades as an educator and leader in the world’s first traveling high school (TGS) and the Loreto network of global schools.
As the Managing Director and architect of the THINK Learning Studio (TLS), Russell is dedicated to disrupting the traditional education model and promoting a new, more dynamic approach to learning. Voted a top 100 Global Visionary in Education (GFEL, 2021), Russell is passionate about sharing insights and ideas with educators around the world and inspiring new thinking in the field.
Russell’s expertise is in professional development and foresight. TLS is currently focused on strategic planning and developing innovative educational products, such as project-based learning skill building, Discovery, Odyssey and Deep Dive experiences. When not sharing their ideas at events such as the ReWired Festival, Dubai Future Forum, DEi Brisbane, and GESS Oman & Turkey, Russell is busy building partnerships with organizations such as the Great Barrier Reef Authority in Australia.
In addition to their work with THINK Learning Studio, Russell has co-founded the Hakuba Forum and foresightLab.org, which they are excited to expand in 2023. They also actively support young startups in the education space through the TLS Incubator, including the Moroccan-based ur-ed.com.
