Isil Boy Ergul

Dr. Işıl Boy-Ergül is the founder of ETZ (Educational Technology Summit in Turkey), Aron Technology, and TeacherX (an online teacher training platform).Boy-Ergül worked as a lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages Education and as an advisor to the vice president at Yıldız Technical University in Turkey. Additionally, she ran educational technology courses as a teacher trainer for Pilgrims Teacher Training in the United Kingdom. She has conducted various ICT training courses across Turkey, Europe, and the Middle East since 2009. Boy-Ergül holds a B.A. in TEFL from Istanbul University, an M.A. in Educational Technology and TESOL from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Educational Technology at Bahçeşehir University, where she taught postgraduate courses for two years.
Since 2014, she has held the role of founding coordinator for ETZ (Education Technology Summit). In 2015, Ergül was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator. In 2020, she founded Aron Technology, a company specializing in e-learning solutions, and the TeacherX teacher training platform.
Driven by the need arising from her doctoral thesis and collaboration with educational institutions, TeacherX was founded on the belief that "Teacher development leads to societal change." TeacherX is an online teacher training platform that adheres to the principle of sustainable professional development, offering educators the opportunity to receive training from expert academicians and instructors at any time and place. Dr. Işıl Boy-Ergül, who has secured agreements with more than 300 institutions in three years through TeacherX, is married and the mother of one.
