Sustainable collaborative models between universities and Edtech companies: strategies and risks of collaborative online programmes and micro-degrees

Despite the significant decline in venture capital investment in Edtech in 2023, the education market is still dominated by world-renowned Edtech companies. They are gaining momentum and providing real competition to universities. We have brought together the best experts and leaders in this segment for a case session to present successful “win-win” strategies and experiences of sustainable cooperation between Edtech companies and universities. Together with the experts, we will discuss what universities are missing when it comes to establishing market-demanded online programmes and launching micro-degrees. In what ways can EdTech be useful to a university, and what functions can businesses take on that are not inherent to universities? What can be done to reduce the risks of launching joint programmes, and who is responsible for the outcomes of students’ education? We invite you to share experiences and be inspired by new ideas and practices from leading experts.
